ItSeems

The project

ItSeems ("Мені здається") is an anonymous online journal and support space, built around a single conviction stated on the site itself: people who have experienced violence should be able to speak freely about what happened to them and know that they are not alone.

That sentence is also the product specification. Every design decision follows from it, and most of them run against normal product instincts. There is no onboarding that asks who you are. There is no profile to complete. There is no mechanism that could, even indirectly, connect what someone writes to who they are, because for this audience that risk is not a privacy preference, it is the reason they would never write at all.

What we did

DForce delivered design and development.

• An anonymity-first product where privacy is not a feature listed on a page but the constraint that shapes what the product is allowed to do at all.
• A calm, low-pressure space to write and be heard, structured as a journal rather than as a forum or a chat, so a person can put something down without having to address it to anyone or wait for a reply.
• A Ukrainian-language single-page application, fast and light on a phone, which is where this is realistically used.
• Thoughtful, sensitive UX for a vulnerable audience, with tone and pacing handled as carefully as layout.

Engineering notes

• Anonymity constrains the architecture, not the copy. The safest way to guarantee that something cannot be traced is not to collect it. That principle was applied before the interface was designed, not audited afterwards.
• No engagement mechanics. Streaks, notifications and reminders would be standard for a journaling product and are wrong here. The product does not pursue the user.
• Isolation is the problem being solved. "You are not alone" is not a marketing line on this site, it is the outcome the product is trying to produce, which is why the shared, readable side of the journal exists at all.
• Restraint under load. A person in distress will not retry a page that hesitates, so the build stays light on purpose.
